Jesus is our Source

Luke 8:45

Amplified Bible (AMP)

45 And Jesus said, Who is it who touched Me? When all were denying it, Peter [a]and those who were with him said, Master, the multitudes surround You and press You on every side!

This morning I want to focus your heart on this, Jesus is in us to meet our needs. As I read this scripture, my heart ached for all the multitudes today that have Jesus and yet no power. The crowd mentality was “watch and see.” All those people knew Jesus had power and ability to meet their needs, they were following Him because of it and yet only one woman touched Him. ONLY ONE! Only one woman had the heart that made Jesus her absolute Source. Only one woman moved from spectator to partaker.

Mark 5:27-28

27 She had heard the reports concerning Jesus, and she came up behind Him in the throng and touched His garment,

28 For she kept saying, If I only touch His garments, I shall be restored to health.

This woman had given her all to be healed. She had tried everything. She spent all her time, energy, and resources to be healed  to no avail.  This was her level of desperation. Just being in this crowd was against the law for her. Let alone touching another. This is the level of absolute faith she applied to touching Jesus. Her heart came in line with the absolute Healer and she reached out and received.

Today, what is your issue? What is driving you to desperation? Have you heard that Jesus is the answer and you are walking in His crowd but not receiving your need? What is your “crowd heart” position? Being only a spectator? Become like this woman, an absolute partaker.  She didn’t care what the cost was, she was willing to do what it took to touch Him. SHE SAW JESUS AS HER ABSOLUTE SOURCE! He is yours too. He has all that you need for your issue. Reach out with all that you are and touch Him. Let His power heal you, deliver you, forgive you, redeem you, restore you, save you!

Mark 5:34

34 And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.”

Beautifully, wisely, boldly written…thank you for sharing so lovingly this truth. Jesus is accessible…we only need to PRESS IN! You have brought out hope in such a straight forward and powerful explanation of the passage. Thank you. My prayer is that this will reach out to those who are giving their all to seek Jesus in the midst of the need! amen ~Zoey
