My life is but a weaving between the Lord and me!

Vantage Point

From what vantage point are you living your life?

Romans 12:1

I appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.

Sometimes, the view from our souls become focused on mistakes, wrongs, disappointments, and injustices. It becomes tainted with harsh judgement and pride.  When house hunting the view is a big selling point. No one wants to buy a house with a view of the dump, the freeway, the wall of the house next to it. The good news is, no matter how bad the view is from our souls, God has made provision for us. We are His temples, we belong to Him. He knew the development of our souls and landscapes of our lives. That is why He has provided a focus for us, His mercy.

Today,  I encourage you to ask the Lord to reveal what the view of your soul is and if need be, to shift your vantage point, to adjust what needs to be adjusted so that you can see Him. How would it changes our lives if we began living with our hearts focused on the God’s mercy? His mercy not only for others, but for ourselves. The view from our souls is supposed to be stunning, because His mercy is so powerful!

May you just receive all that you need from our Lord as you read this. May you feel His presence coming into your cracks and losses of your soul. May you begin to see yourself with His eyes. No matter how ugly the view has been, His mercy makes you beautiful!

  1. My prayer is for this good and encouraging word to open the promises of God’s word to those who seek Him with all their heart. ~Zoey

    • I love it the comparison and break down of the view of our soul to God comparing to the view of a house! God Bless Jenni!!!

  2. A good perspective. Perhaps I need to give my self a break and focus on God’s view of my life. Thanks for sharing. : )

  3. Beautiful and confirms what God has been speaking to me lately…to focus on my need for His mercy and not on how I want Him to change others. What His mercy has given me should be my focus. thanks
