Good Ol’ Days

 To whom it may concern:
I am hereby officially tendering my resignation as an adult.  I have decided I would like to accept the responsibilities of an 8 year old again.  I want to go to McDonald’s and think that its a four star restaurant.  I want to sail sticks across a fresh mud puddle and make ripples with rocks. I want to think M&Ms are better than money because you can eat them.  freespirit
I want to lie under a big oak tree and run a lemonade stand with my friends on a hot summer’s day.  I want to return to a time when life was simple.  When all you knew were colors, multiplication tables, and nursery rhymes, but that didn’t bother you, because you didn’t know what you didn’t know and you didn’t care.  All you knew was to be happy because you were blissfully unaware of all the things that should make you worried or upset.  I want to think the world is fair.  That everyone is honest and good.  I want to believe that anything is possible.  I want to be oblivious to complexities of life and be overly excited by the little things again.  I want to live simple again.flower
I don’t want my day to consist of computer crashes, mountains of paperwork, depressing news, how to survive more days in the month than there is money in the bank, doctor bills, gossip, illness, and loss of loved ones.

I want to believe in the power of smiles, hugs, and a kind word, truth, justice, peace, dreams, the imagination, mankind, and making angels in the snow.  So…here’s my checkbook and my car-keys, my credit card bills, and my 401K statements.  I am officially resigning from adulthood.  And if you want to discuss this further, you’ll have to catch me first, cause…”Tag you’re it!”

  1. Please consider John 4:24. “God is Spirit, and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.” Jesus has the opportunity to tell the Samaritan woman that for her to properly worship God, “she
should go to a certain place, at a certain time, on a certain day.” But, He didn’t! In essence, Jesus was saying that for us to properly worship God, it should be a worship of, “all of us for all of Him.” You seem to be in that mindset of worship. Thank you for sharing your heart. Many blessings to you.

  2. Zoey, You may be surprised as to who else God may draw to your blog. You have been given something of great significance. God will provide people who can benefit from the things that He gives you to write. Please pray for God to use you in ways that You had never even considered. Eph 3:20 tells us how God intervenes in our lives, and sometimes He will do it in-spite of us. I encourage you to become very intimate the message of Phil 3:10. Really draw close to those inspired Words. May our Lord Jesus continue to bless you.

    1. Yes, I shall. I wholly trust in our Lord Jesus and have surrendered my all to His will for my life. How wonderful to know that He is on the move and present with us, His Church..The Bride of Christ Jesus. Blessings~Zoey

    1. Some days, it nice to know one can pack a wish and take a trip back to the carefree days when your biggest decision was what to eat for lunch! lol

John 13:17, “Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.”

We must pull forward with those things we’ve been brought up to know is truth, for we can trust in the word of God. ~Amen

      Bless you~Zoey
