What a comfort to know that Jesus has our path prepared for our life. I know for me, it is an anchor.
Sometimes when I need to drive to a place I have never been before, it can become an adventure that really can be frustrating if I’m not prepared with the directions ahead of time.
But here in the Word, the bible tells us that in John 10:1-2, Jesus will go on ahead and lead His Sheep on the path which will lead to safe pastures.
John 10:vs 1 “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, he who does not enter by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up from some other place [on the stone wall], that one is a thief and a robber. 2 But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep [the protector and provider].”
Another great verse is Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart And do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].
If you have not accepted the Lord into your life, I invite you to find the Good Shepherd (who is calling your name to follow Him) and believe in His Good plan for your life. Get to know Him in His Word, talk to Him as you go about your day and be filled with His Holy Spirit in your heart. He will forgive your missteps and restore hope back to your everyday life.
Thank you Jesus for being a Good Shepherd, you show us the way to you…the Good Path. Jesus, I pray for the one who is searching for a better way – help them to see that you are waiting to fill them with Your unfailing love and peace. Yes, Lord, you are only a prayer away. Amen
