My life is but a weaving between the Lord and me!

About

OUR MISSION STATEMENT:

Through our daily walk of faith, we can see God’s interaction by those who come into our path.  His love begins to intertwine His righteousness, disciplines of character, wisdom and understanding into our hearts.  Our dedication is to bring His word as a light along the path, as his Holy Spirit guides our steps. To flourish in our personal and spiritual growth along  this wonder-filled journey called life.  We bring our personal life experiences to share the hope of Jesus and the power of His unfailing love.  God is our Master Weaver.

Message from Zoey:

I am a radical christian.  That best describes my faith in Jesus as the son of God.  My foundation began as a child of 4yrs old, when at Sunday school I asked my teacher if Jesus would like to come home and play with me after church.  Her reply was I had to wait till I was five yrs old.  So, of course when I got home that day, I asked my mom how long till I was five yrs old?  She asked me why?  I told her what my Sunday school teacher had said to me.  She took me on her lap and prayed a simple prayer. He came  into my heart that day and I have never been alone since.

A little bit more:

It is not my aim to just know about Jesus Christ but personally…to know Him.  It is my faith quest, it is my hope of salvation and it is my testimony.  It is not about me.  It is all about Him, His message and His Glory.

When I came to know of the Lord, I was only 4 years old.  At the age of 9, I received water baptism.  My mother said that when I gave my testimony, I had a heart for evangelism.  Although my teen years had it’s share of missteps, through it all my faith stayed close to Jesus.  I am a Spirit-filled believer who loves the word of God.  My journey continues and it is my Joy to share it with YOU, as God directs and for His Glory alone.

A question asked by someone brought an open door for me to share a bit more of my testimony, so I decided to add it on our About page:

Editor:  How do you aim to PERSONALLY know Jesus?

My response:

What a great question, I appreciate the opportunity to answer back to you…personally. For me, my desire would be not to just know of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit through just the written Word and the stories of the Bible. In other words, on just an academic or intellectual understanding, so that if it made sense I might accept it as believable. My aim is to experience it in my life. To see the evidence of the Living God present in my everyday life. Not just on a certain day of the week, or holiday or occasion. For me it means trusting without doubt, it is not easy to do this, it takes obedience without question. I do this by reading the bible and searching out the meaning of what I read in prayer. For me, it takes Faith; in the Wisdom of the Word and walking forward in the Grace of God. It is my aim…my focus. Without distractions. For me, it has taken true grit. For me, it has taken knowing Jesus as my savior, my healer and my all in all.

There is a verse in John 15:4, it says…”Remain in Me and I will remain in you.” This means that Jesus is personally invested in my life and in the believer. It is what enables us to walk IN Him by the power of the Holy Spirit that dwells within our soul (true self).

So, when I say it is my aim to personally know Him, I mean: it is my passion to know of His love for me. It is not a superficial understanding of the Trinity [God, Son, Holy Ghost], it is an interpersonal exchange between the lover of my soul and nurturer of my salvation in Christ Jesus.

God bless you for this time to share my personal testimony. ~Zoey

A very honest bio.! I was baptized at age 13, but my young teen years had it’s “missteps” too. In fact, I derailed more than once in my lifetime! But thank the Lord, He always was in my heart and I never got so far from Him that I couldn’t find my way back!

I appreciate your visit, following, and comments and look forward to sharing thoughts as we go along here…

  3. Hi to you four on Tapestry Treasures. Great to have you aboard on Christian Blessings. Love your blogs and writings. I am only a “once a weeker” every Friday, but you folks seem quite prolific. May God grant us all to have an impact in people’s lives with the word.

There is the rest of faith, and there is the fight of faith. May God grant us grace in both directions.

  4. Zoey, I just love your bio! I totally agree with you about having a personal relationship with God, His Son, Jesus and our Precious Holy Spirit. Many do not understand the difference in knowing that The Holy Trinity exists and knowing Them personally on an intimate basis. Intimacy is the Key. It is then that our Faith grows and our hearts open to receive Them. It is like going from “head knowledge” to “heart Knowledge”. The difference is almost indescribable. I praise God for the ministry that you have. Many blessings to you!

    • Thank you for the kind words, SecretAngel! God Bless your ministry and the wonderful outreach you are doing. It is a great service to many, many women and men who feel hopeless and lost…you truly have a heart of an angel. Stay strong in the Lord~Zoey

      • Awe Zoey… That was so sweet. I just praise God for the words that He gives me. Yes, many feel hopeless and lost. I pray that they will come to know God and find the Light to lead them out of the darkness. Many blessings to you, my sister!!

  9. Thank you Zoey for always coming on my blog and encouraging me, especially in this difficult period with my aunt’s passing and all. I am really grateful, and I feel some kind of connection to you, just by reading the comments you leave on each post.

I think you’re beautiful, have a really lovely smile, a really hearty laugh, and take forever to get angry. And I’m hoping that one day I have a redemption story as real as yours because at this time, I’m a little disillusioned.

Thank you, thank you, and thank you again.

We have a common denominator in God, he brings people together who might not have ever met…had they not taken that first leap of FAITH. Our journey in the blog is just that…a walk of faith and I am so glad that I have met such a dear sister in the Lord, my sweet fairyGodsister! Bless you! Zoey
