Psalm 18:28-32 (AMP)
28 For You cause my lamp to be lighted and to shine; the Lord my God illumines my darkness.
It is God who causes us to light, to shine. However, there are those moments of distress that come and they feel like they darken our lives. Our darkest moment can never put out the light of our God in us. Sometimes, we see the light, and sometimes it is so bright we must close our eyes and feel it. Momentarily, when our eyes are closed, it feels dark, perhaps hopeless, but it is in those moments that God illumines our darkness. It is in that moment He brings hope to our despair, peace to our chaos, strength to our weakness. Even in our moment of darkness, God shines. He will help you.
8 Rejoice not over me, O my enemy;
when I fall, I shall rise;
when I sit in darkness,
the Lord will be a light to me.
Do not let your heart and mind rest in darkness. If you are so burned out in this moment, if your circumstances are telling you there is no hope, let God illuminate this moment of distress. Do not sit in darkness, but embrace His light, letting it flow in you. You may feel yourself seated in darkness, your understanding of the situation and the reality of what you see and feel, but rise, let His light lift you up and out of that place. God knows what you need to know, and He wants to share it with you.
GOD WANTS TO ILLUMINE YOUR DARKNESS!
