~~Tapestry Treasures Celebrates
1 year Anniversary~~
Tribute by Jenni Sahagun
Welcome to our one year anniversary of Tapestry Treasures. This last year has been amazing. We would like to share with you how God inspired, directed and is leading us.
It began with five ladies, in five different states, one even in another country. God drew us together through the internet and connected our hearts around learning of Him and sharing with each other. The Lord then expanded our hearts and our reach when He inspired Zoey to present us the opportunity to blog.
We found that the things that Lord was speaking to us, and that we were sharing with each other could also really bless and encourage those outside of our friendship circle. The Lord was calling us to trust Him, to move out or rather “write” out to reach those whose hearts He was connecting with ours. So, in faith on April 20th 2013 we stepped out and wrote.
He led us through several studies including Proverbs 31, The Battlefield of the Mind, 30 Days to Taming Your Tongue, My All and All, Grace, and Overcoming Shame. He has spoken to our hearts and we have written about death, fear, bullying, prejudice, grief, hope, desire, marriage, children and health, just to name a few topics the Lord had us share. What has been so amazing is how you have responded to the Lord’s work in our lives. We have joyfully watched the Lord build us and connect us to you. He has flung open our hearts and you have joyfully come in. We cherish those whom He has brought us. You have touched our lives, both by letting us share but also by sowing into us.
God’s word always gives at full capacity, even when His vessels are small and limited. We often feel small and limited but we focus on the truth we know, which is our God is great and mighty. Our goal is to celebrate and showcase the uniqueness of how God created all of us, embracing the different ways each of us has to learn and to share. While at the same time staying focused on His heart to love and live out His faith. Faith is love in motion.
John 17:20-21 (CEB)
20 “I’m not praying only for them but also for those who believe in me because of their word. 21 I pray they will be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. I pray that they also will be in us, so that the world will believe that you sent me.
Jesus prayed we would be one with God. WOW! As we write and as you read, may you always see Jesus and our oneness with Him. May that unity come off the page and draw you into it. May our words, bring you Jesus life, that lifts your soul, strengthens you for the battle, reveals the truth and totally sets you free. May your belief in Jesus, at our words be increased exponentially.
This is our heart for our new year:
That we would be united in vision, yet diverse in application.
That we would be united in motivation, yet diverse in method.
Because God qualifies us, we can walk in His wisdom, His love, His truth, and His grace.
Because He is our absolute God, we accept His infinite variables as He weaves us together for our good. Allowing our God design to flourish and grow, to appreciate, cultivate and support each others God design, even while we learn how to be conformed to our God in every way.
We go into this new blog season united with Christ, united with each other and united with you.
